The goal ? There are many. Equal rights would be nice, indeed.

The various articles about horrible crimes are there to raise awareness regarding a few things, too :

the issue of male disposability (no compassion for men)
the sentencing gap (you would free more black people by fixing the gender sentencing gap than the racial sentencing gap, in the US, although, the sentencing gap is not only illustrating that some people go to prison who don't deserve it, but also that some escape it who deserve it)
the fact that despite popular narrative, women are no angels, they are just as human as men, and so just as likely be shitty people.

There is also a goal to get feminism out of our institutions. No single ideology should have that much of a stranglehold on power in a democracy. Beside, it has been proven time and again that feminist analysis is willingly blind to a lot of things critical to what it pretends to address, which make it ineffective at addressing almost anything, and has created a lot of the inequalities the MRM tries to correct (Duluth model, family court, misandric shelters, erosion of due process...)

We also promote an understanding of how humans operate, with acceptance that evolution didn't stop at the neck, and recognition of gender differences, which are critical if you want to address anything gender-related.

And as it has been noted, this is a public forum, where anyone can come and go, and say what they want. There is no structure or organisation. If you want to see something more structured, more goal oriented, go look at NCFM's website. Here, the focus is mainly on raising awareness of the various issues and goal, and sharing understanding and providing some level of emotional support and community.

It's not so much the crimes by women that are being highlighted..... It's the lighter sentences they reviece. It's done to show a pattern & NOT a one off occurance.

Other tines it's to reflect the difference in reporting.... Recently a couple held a man at gunpoint (husband) while his wife forced him to have sex with her

Rape was never mentioned. Now rape is the most severe in the category of sex crimes & violent rapes can carry sentences as long if not longer than the minimum sentence fur murder in some jurisdictions but that punishment is spared when it comes to women

His abuse will be normalised with the sexual assault banner

I am really just wondering what the end goal is? Is it equal rights for men and women?

From my perspective, feminists talk about gender equality, but they tend to create the illusion that only women have serious issues by cherry picking things that effect women and claiming that people who talk about things that effect men are stealing their spotlight. So I see the men's rights movement as being the one that shines a light on things that are unfair to men since there doesn't seem to be any other movement handling it well in my opinion.

So yes, definitely I think equal rights for men and women should be the goal. I just feel that the movement focusing on women's issues (feminism) tends to be pretty strongly biased against men's issues at the moment.

It just seems like to me that instead of promoting ways we can achieve this, the only things posted are articles about crimes committed by women. Awful crimes. I am not defending any of these people.

I tend to skip over most of those posts. I get that the purpose is to show that women can also commit violent / sexual crimes, and that there are times that they unfairly get lenient punishments for it, but it stops being new information after you have seen a certain number of them. I think that the primary reason they get so many upvotes is because a lot of people on here have personally seen things like that happen and are understandably still upset by it.

I am more interested in the posts that keep me up to date on what is happening politically and on activism being done by groups like NCFM and the ICMI event happening in Chicago this year. It does take a little digging to find those posts buried in the sea of outrage posts since they don't usually get upvoted as much.

And some feminists are bad too. Their comments are offensive, too. I am a woman and just want to have some information from all sides. I believe in equal rights (punishment, pay, memberships to clubs and sports teams etc).

In the United States, I feel like Betty Friedan was reasonable on most counts (although coming out against shared parenting is an example of something that results in most MRA's loathing her). But Karen DeCrow was 100% reasonable in my mind and to most MRA's from what I have seen.

The problem is that whenever I see feminists nowadays who seem more or less reasonable to me, they tend to almost universally be rejected by the mainstream feminist establishment.

I recommend that you look into an MRA named Warren Farrell. He is a lot more calm and easier to follow if you are like me and don't get as excited about seeing people being angry and outraged all the time. You might also want to take a look at menarehuman.com.
