I'm 48, I've tried my best to convince younger men NOT to get married, and that it is indeed a terrible decision. You have a 50% chance of losing everything you have worked for. Those are terrible odds. This game chews them up and spits them out with impressive accuracy decade after decade through divorce and family court. Yet every year millions of young men get married, have kids, work, their asses off, only to be told that the wife wants a divorce after 10 years and her being 70 pounds overweight. After the divorce, she gets herself in shape, finds a new husband and is told "You go girl." No this did not happen to me but to many of my successful friends.

Only need 1 reason. That is that you are entrusting every single thing you own and 30% of everything you own going forward to a person of a gender who biologically dislikes you. That's like a Jew trusting all his money to a Nazi.
