It's strange to see this here, in Russia there are different laws, women are not drafted into the army. Only men over the age of 18.

So, what we see in this video is some girl that looks suspiciously Ukrainian shows cuts from videos of some medics (idk, nurses or doctors) _suddenly_ remembering that they are liable to be mobilized as military medics (nurses, surgeons etc). Which is kinda lol, 'cause in the medical college they had to be warned about this, they just hoped this will never come, as usual.

so, it is direct bullshit that it is a draft - women are not liable to be drafted in Russia, but they can go on the military contract or take a job as civilian personnel.

what it really is - is a (hidden) mobilization. small reminder - the executive act that had started mobilization in 2022 had _never_ been revoked, it is still active, so formally any mobilization (say, people that has military rank as reservists) under it is still legal. anything else (like forcing students to sign a contract) is formally illegal, but overlooked, as manpower shortage at the battle line do exists.

Yes, you have right to work, and Russian work environment is pretty equal in terms of gender. Better than in Japan as example.
