Pretty sure this is because of the rape and sexual assault epidemic in Japan. Women aren’t safe using public transit because they’re OFTEN groped etc. Normally I would agree this is bullshit but on this case they really do need some special treatment in my opinion

Reasonable, but doesn’t making women only trains kinda make the other cars somewhat men only? Not restricted to men, but jus full of them
