It's only half the equation though.

We get told to toughen up, defend ourselves, "sack up". But when that bully punches your head on the playground and you sock him one back; you both get the same punishment. When you swear because you fell and hurt yourself rather than cry, you get punished. When you tell a girl she's being a bitch for cutting you in line, she tells on you and you get punished.

You're expected to dial down your competitiveness, your ambition, your anger, your bravado, your strength, your wants, your needs, your pain, and your grit. And after you've been castrated for your entire life, women ask, "But where are the men with balls?"

We have a sensitive side, but we can't show it. We have a masculine side, and we're told not to flex it. Whatever disposition you favor (though we all have some degree of both), it's a lose-lose situation. In the end, the comic is right: you're a grown ass man and can act however the fuck you please. That's the magic ingredient of being a man that takes nearly half a lifetime to figure out for most of us.

Many never discover it at all.

This one is pretty simple, but it hits close to home for me and I'm sure it does for others out there.
