I don't condone violence. Nor do I suggest parents should hit their children. But seriously. I would love to see the backlash if it was a father hitting a daughter. Double standards everywhere. It doesn't even cross anyone's mind about how wrong it is.

I thought about that briefly too, but I really have very little sympathy for this guy. He was in what was basically a psuedo-war zone attacking police officers. She did what she had to do to stop him and keep people safe. End of story.
I have no sympathy for him either. But I pictured watching a father hit his daughter on the news, under the same circumstances. Then I thought about the amount of backlash that would occur. I know it's all hypothetical though.
