Control for anything, control for everything, control for nothing, men always get longer sentences, get longer first sentences, are more likely to get custodial sentences, and more likely to get sentences above the sentencing report, &c..

You have to be very careful when you look at these studies. There is a huge error bar when you try to control for that many things.
