Men in general have better survival skills than women. Women's toolkits included sex, childbearing and votes. When times are hard men are rewarded for being responsible, for protecting women and families are strong since they are the basic social unit that allows survival. When times are easy men are seen as competitors to women and cast in the role of predators. Families are not needed as much, birthrates drop. Men are shamed, lied about, pushed out everywhere and jailed on a whim. Its that simple, nothing to do with equality or values, just self-serving economics. Right now we are living in an unprecedented age of abundance due to capitalism, technology and democracy. Poverty, crime and war are at all time lows. The status of men is very low in our current age and is fanned by social media that magnifies the power of lying and shaming. All the billions of words written on the topic boil down to this: Men have done such a good job of building civilization that they made themselves obsolete.
