One of the most infuriating responses to addressing circumcision, and presenting it for what it is - mutilation - is that someone will often compare it to other forms of mutilation, especially pertaining to females.

A response that's often forgotten here is that there are degrees of gential mutilations between cultures, males are in some cultures are ritually mutilated far more than having their foreskin removed, I remember reading about even worse accounts that I can't find links to right now.

It's pointless to compare, non-medical circumcision is unacceptable even if there are worse things out there for males as well, but if someone does bring it up, do keep those horrible rituals in mind. On a sidenote, there are far more horrible rituals that boys have had undergo in various places that girls haven't.
