Crosspost "I've been falsely accused of sexual harassment AMA" from /r/AMA:

Oh boy, this is an intense situation. I met this girl at college in my English class, we made friends with the same people and then ended up sitting with them together at break. I proudly mentioned my Instagram meme page to the group and gave out my user name. She followed me and that was it for a good while. Until she DMed me. We started talking, casually at first but then shit soon got a little flirty. Cool, a pretty girl flirting with me. Awesome, I begin to like her back so when I saw her sat alone on a bench at college a few days later I decid to sit with her and keep her company. The benches here are small (important later) we talk for a bit but shes quite (she had told me before that she struggled to maintain conversations in person on account of anxiety) we made awkward small talk until we both had to go to separate classes. We joked about how awkward and quite it was later with her saying something like "I thought you were meant to be good at conversation 😂". My bad, I over estimated my confidence, we carry on talking until eventually out of nowhere, she blocks me. I was definitely sad but I eventually got over it. Now fast forward a good few week and I'm kept behind after class by my tutor and taken up stairs into an office. My head tutor and another high ranking staff member sit me down and basically tell me this girl has accused me of harassing her (although they never used that word) they read me bits of a statement she wrote (a whole A4 peice of paper). The accusations included sitting too close to her on the bench, banging around my lunch box to get her attention and making inappropriate comments about her period blood and her bra size in an English class. Now like I said before, the benches are small and I'm quite broad shouldered so its very possible I did feel too close and make her uncomfortable without realising but she never mentioned feeling uncomfortable to me during or after it happened and we were still friendly for a while after that. I'm a naturally noisy person (especially when I'm frustrated) so again, maybe she just misunderstood me clanging my lunch box around as me trying to get her attention or whatever. That's fine, just a simple misunderstanding. But the last accusation? That's a flat out lie, I never said those things. I would never say those things and the fact someone accused me of saying those things makes me feel physically Ill. The college seemed to believe me when I told them this but put me on a disciplinary notice anyway. Ask me anything, even something unrelated. I'm under so much bullshit stress and I'm hoping this will be some what therapeutic.
