Pursuant to /u/AndyAndrophile's post on some rather serious developments in the atheist/sceptic community that go beyond mere drama-blogging, there have been a few notable developments:

  1. Michael Shermer's lawyers have written a 'cease and desist' letter to Paul Myers. This can be read here. From the looks of things, however, Dr Myers has no intention of complying. Freezepage link here (to avoid giving FtB traffic). A libel case seems inevitable at this point.

  2. Dr Ron Lindsay, head of the Center for Inquiry has written to Scientific American to request that Dr Karen Stollznow's piece (which has now been taken down - but someone links to it in the comments under Ron's piece) be corrected for three factual errors.

  3. (Of somewhat less moment, but on the same topic). The Justicar has posted a response to a video from HealthyAddict, which is well worth watching. HealthyAddict's YouTube video relating her experience of sexual harassment has previously featured on this sub-reddit here, so people might be interested in this development.
