Any distription on what that is? Like the Purpose, testing methods and possible/ideal conclusions?

From their site i was able to gather this: "VasalgelTM is a long-acting, nonhormonal contraceptive similar to vasectomy but with one significant advantage: it is likely to be more reversible. With the help of you and others like you, we hope to begin the first small clinical trial in the first half of next year, a larger trial by the end of next year, and bring Vasalgel to market within 3 years." Seems like they want to test it on baboons before bringing it on the market.

they had a rabbit study last year, and they had really good results, but their vas are super delicate, and baboons are so much closer to humans anatomically.
they'll inject the gel into the vas, and then wait while the baboons relax and go crazy with their harem, they'll probably also collect some samples for examiniation. (for the bunnies, they said they had some faux bunny vaginas, not sure if that's what they have for the baboons. probably.)
after they collect their initial data, then this is where the magic will happen. (because the bunnies' vas were so delicate, one of them had trouble getting back to fertility.) because baboons' vas are like humans', the results will be closer to what would happen in us. this will undeniably prove that the reversal works.
the ideal results will be 100% sperm destruction while the gel is installed, and 100% back to original potency once it's flushed out. (the bunnies had 100% destruction, but they had a slow time getting back to fertility. which is understandable, with their delicate-ness and all.)
and the purpose of the study is because they can't proceed to human trials without testing on baboons.

no actually, the gel need to be inserted into the vas. Possibly surgically, possibly through injection, not sure.
yep. they'll go through the same procedure as they would to humans. (semen collection might be a little more awkward though.)
