Victor Nealon Case: false rape allegation case leading to 17 years behind bars. There was a rape but the wrong person was convicted. This became very clear when the DNA samples were finally compared many years after initial trial. He received no compensation. Was released with £46 & little warning

This is why rape kits should be done asap. As far as i know there is still a big backlogg of years worth of dna evidence. Woman blame it on the system to let rapists get away - but everyone profits from rape kits getting finished asap! Noones life has to be ruined, noone has to go to jail when there is clear evidence!
