So "unwanted physical contact" = "rape"?

Wow. I guess I've been raped by every woman that's ever given me a handshake with sweaty hands. Unwanted physical contact indeed.

Don't even get me started on the fat bitches on the bus that keep rubbing up against me when they sit next to me by taking up as much space as an fully grown Walrus, if that's "rape" then I've been raped about a million times.

The response rate of this poll was 8-10%. The doj ncvs response rate is 84-88%.

First, the actual poll question was not limited to “sexual assault” (a far more explosive term) but instead specifically asked respondents about sexual assault or “unwanted sexual contact.” Unwanted sexual contact is not a synonym for sexual assault.

I've been saying this for quite awhile now. "Unwanted" sex is not the legal definition of sexual assault, non-consensual sex is. By asking about "unwanted" sex in surveys, they're including regretted sex, sex that in retrospect someone didn't want to have, though consented to at that time. Pay close attention when you see a pundit talking about the sexual assault problem on campus, very often they'll use the term "unwanted" sex.
