It's an opinion article. As much as I hate it, I like freedom of speech more. And I don't love Jeff Bezos but i don't think his day to day job involves editing his newspaper. I don't see the correlation between him and this article.

As usual the thread is filled with clueless apologists who are more bothered about the fact that feminists are being attacked this way than actually dealing with the crazies who have so much influence in their movement.

It's important to remember when you have somebody who's trying to lecture you about feminism these people are at the bottom of the hierarchy. They may as well be non-existent, yet instead of addressing the problem in the movement they supposedly care about they're trying to exercise control over people they disagree with and make them either shut up or agree with their narrative about the feminist movement which simply doesn't exist in reality.

I am quickly coming to the conclusion that these people are a waste of space and we shouldn't be bothering with them. It's like trying to get the opinion of a male feminist on feminism. They're irrelevant and they're trying to posture as if we're lesser than them because they basically have to get permission from feminists further up the chain to even comment on anything as you can see in subs like MensLib for example.

What I'm trying to work out is how to get these people to fuck off and stop thinking they can get away with lecturing people about something they clearly know nothing about. As learning how they think is how you truly beat them because then they'll be too afraid to even debate you.

No, "patriarchy theory" isn't in my dictionary definition of feminism anywhere. It most certainly is a talking point which is often brought up by people who claim to be "feminists", but that doesn't make this talking point a necessary part of feminism

This person is fascinating for example, they deny patriarchy is a thing in feminism despite there being thousands of feminists who believe it and I'd argue you aren't a feminist unless you believe in this conspiracy theory. They won't however address the fact that it is actually a part of their movement and there are plenty of feminists who believe it they seem to think they can spew off about this sort of thing and they're automatically right. It's an incredibly frustrating tactic they use constantly to try and discredit people who criticise feminism.
