No I agree. But when we argue that side as men were dismissed with an eye roll. Yet we’re simultaneously told that when women report a rape, they’re often dismissed with an eye roll. We can’t win.

You can win with everyone else. the MRA movement has come an awfully long way in the last few years. It is now mainstream policy for the dominant party in America. After the election, expect to see some new legislation protecting men.

It mostly has been so far because they are simply no longer mandating the feminist behaviour that almost all colleges have adopted voluntarily. They'd need to mandate better behaviour and also start prosecuting anti-male behaviour. For the time being the courts are doing some push back and really that's about it.

You have to call them out as bigots.
Anything else and you are left endorsing their hate propaganda as legitimate. Once you accept their starting point of hate, you wont get very far.

Absolutely. My position was that yes, women need to be careful but that not all men are out to get them either, and that men also need to be careful to avoid being in a situation where they could be falsely accused.
I was told that I was hijacking the discussion to push my own agenda, that this doesn’t really happen that often, and that women are really the ones who need to worry and that they’re often afraid to report an assault because they’re laughed off and not taken seriously.
That’s right. In a discussion about women being laughed off and not taken seriously, I was mocked and completely dismissed. The irony is not lost on me.
Watch your backs, fellas. One allegation can completely fuck you up when you’re all over the newspaper the next day. Guilty or not, you could end up spending tens of thousands of dollars defending yourself and still lose your job, your family and your home. And no one seems willing to acknowledge that.
