I really think it's an interesting concept, because the tech if it were done would cost a lot of money, presumably tax money, which comes from men.

Now, once the tech exists billions have already been spent on it and it is consuming vast resources by it's very existence, salaries, maintenance costs, bureaucracies, there are corporations involved, patents, intellectual property, an infrastructure, staff.

something like that can not even theoretically be done on less then an institutional level, it's a medical industry, and a matter of public health. It will continue to consume public resources, there is no way for the recipients of the service - prospective mothers - to pay for the service.

so it will come from taxes. from men.

once a woman has become a mother to one of these children, what happens? Now, you might thing the child would have no father. But under existing law, hear me out, any of us males could be declared the father, and forced to pay child support. As it is, any woman who is pregnant can name any man she wants as the father, file paternity or what have you depending on the local laws.

so these women could get impregnated by designer babies at no charge, and then name whoever they want. So if the law did not change, and law has a strong inertia to it, it seems like there would be girls just going through the phone books naming men father until one failed to respond or just decided to take one for the team, like some culture wide game of jerry springer, which let's face it, is what they do now anyway.

Majority of women still want and love men, only now every man in the world can get a vasectomy early on without worry about never having kids. There will no longer be any unintended pregnancies, no way to trap a man into being their cashcow, no more raising another man's child.

She can't even do bigotry right. The technology already exists for women to have a child together with no man involved using bone marrow or something I think? You don't need artificial sperm. Just cells that can replicate the job.

Guess what. The number of women deciding to go for it is basically none, even among Lesbians who you'd assume would be more in favor of it for understandable reasons, they'd rather just adopt or use a guys sperm.
