Sometimes I wonder why, evolutionarily speaking do individual male and female sexual imperatives destabilize civilization so much. Men being polygynous and women being hypergamous leaves nearly everyone unhappy😞. Why did we evolve like this?

Men conquer and spread seed, women were Taken as war brides and must perform for the new tribe/man and were mainly relagated to what the man brought in financially... Evolutionarily speaking of course. Modern day monogamy and fairytale love are the odd ones... Evolutionarily speaking. I'm still a hopeless romantic though caught up in the Disney Programming.
