It seems like the term "Red Pill" is used quite loosely by everyone in this subreddit. It essentially refers to anyone who thinks most men have a hard time getting laid, are critical of women's sexual/dating behavior, and possibly lean traditionalist. That's it.

If you took a look at the TRP subreddit, their beliefs a bit more specific than that, or at least they were.

I would summarize the core, "old-guard", beliefs of TRP as follows:

  • Traditional gender roles and sexual dynamics were better but they're defunct now

  • It's not worth pursuing them anymore because current laws and culture are stacked against that, and stacked against men generally

  • Pursuing serious relationships with women is no longer worth it for men, it can screw you over. TRP was overwhelmingly against marriage, mostly against cohabitation, and some members were opposed to exclusive relationships.*

(some people claim TRP "is just a toolbox" and "doesn't tell you what to do", I don't really accept that. TRP makes prescriptive statements all the time, just take a look at the top posts there.)

  • Women are extremely selective and generally only find a small portion of men attractive, so you need to make yourself as desirable as possible to be successful with them.

  • They primarily emphasize building muscle, improving your "game", and changing your behavior to achieve this end. There is some discussion of other
