As kind of a short guy, thanks
[–]bmx13 103 points104 points105 points 6 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link
I used to be average, and then average went up. It's some real bullshit.
[–]NotaChineseplushie 65 points66 points67 points 6 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link
Well, I'm 5'6. So a lot of girls reject me because of my height.
That's also why I deleted my Tinder. I did get matches but as soon as they asked how tall I am they were acting as if I just called them a whore and blocked me.
Well, yeah. It blows. And many girls treat guys like shit these days, so I really appreciate this guy for standing up for shorter guys
[–]JasHanz 31 points32 points33 points 6 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link
5'8" here. I always ask "why, does it matter?" before answering. If it matters, they don't ever get to actually know.
[–]McSkittlefarts 33 points34 points35 points 6 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link
I am 5'10'' and they will still be like I am sorry. That's too short. I feel I dodged a bullet each time

I laugh when I see shit like 5'2" girls saying they like men 6'3" and up... Loool

[–]kenmayy 13 points14 points15 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
As a female who's only 5 feet tall it doesn't make no difference being with a guy whos 5'6 compared to someone who's 6’ as long as youre really interested in being in a relationship with them it shouldn't matter, even if they are shorter than you by a couple of inches.
It. Makes. No. Difference.
[–]AAA515 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
What is your problem with 4' men?
[–]SailFishMan 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

But why do they all make it a difference?
[–]kenmayy 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Because insecure women like to compare boyfriend's over the smallest things. They think having a boyfriend who's 6', has solid abs and a fat bank account somehow makes them more valuable than everyone else.
They fail to realize that if they ever do run across those men one of three things will happen
1.pump n dump
He'll stay with her because she's dumb and easy to manipulate, he will basically have someone around at all times for easy pussy and house cleaning
He completely ignores her because she's a materialistic idiot
[–]Danolix 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's like if they wanted a guy to date a gnome compared to them lmao.
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You can tell them your 6 ft if you're really 5'10" I'm 5'10 and would always say I'm 6 ft
Girls are fucking stupid and can't tell anyway
[–]shardamakah 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]drapehsnormak 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Faustinothefool 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
As a 5'6" asian dude, please do not feel discouraged. I would advise you put your height on your profile. I do, and it saves a lot of hassle. Don't be afraid to go for girls taller than you. The confidence required to do so will already set you apart.
[–]NotaChineseplushie 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Thanks. I don't use Tinder and I was talking about real life though. There are such girls irl as well. There are some rare instances when a taller girl has given me a chance though.

This human male of greater than average height is a metaphorical and comedic wonder, also referred to as a 'killer'. He replied to the female's message of 'what?' very amusingly and had this user, u/Papstarlove, laughing heartily and loudly, in the expression of "laughing my ass off" (not literally losing his rear, but simply an expression to indicate extreme amusement)

At 16! I’m 6’4, and 19 but I grew for the last two and half years, when I was 16 I was 5’7
[–]tempalt02 9 points10 points11 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Lemme tell you, 6'5 at 16 is a death sentence for your figure, your back and your bones. Everything hurts after some time.
[–]Louis-Charles 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Back pain is horrible, the problem are chair in schools, they’re too small. I personally add horrible knee problems cause my tendons did grows a fast as my muscle
[–]Tcliff2 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I’m 6’6” at 15. The knee and back pain is terrible!
[–]Danolix 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
One good way to solve those problems is just try to get ripped and get heavier, it may not be much at first but it does help grow some muscles.
[–]Tcliff2 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Definitely. I’m working on it.
[–]Randallthe3rd 36 points37 points38 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I know the answer: fat
[–]Fatality144 16 points17 points18 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Yeah the height/weight double standard is annoying but you can also throw their height right back at them and watch them lose it.
“Oh your 5’8? Too tall need to be shorter.” They will lose it as their double think will kick in saying “i cant change that that’s a ridiculous standard!”
Also I find it funny how the height standards continually increase as time goes on. I am 6’1 and have been told I am too short and my buddy who is 6’4 has had the same happen to him. In a few short years Goliath will be considered tiny.
[–]Feeblemindedbrother 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yeah I’m 6 foot 1 and was recently told by my wife’s friends that if I was single I’d never get a woman because I’m too short. She’s five foot

I hate being that girl but I’m 5’9” so I try to casually bring it before the first date. It’s actually upset some guys when I didn’t mention it before hand 🤷🏽♀️
[–]BiffTannin 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If you are worried about it, then say something like “ just to let you know, I’m 5’ 9”. If that bothers you then let me know now.”
If it does bother him, as a side bonus, you can then say “that’s what I figured. Most guys don’t like a 5’ girl with a 9” dick.” Just because I think I’d be kind of funny.
[–]ca_princess 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]drapehsnormak 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]TechnoTheFirst 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Guys have problems with girls that are 5'9"? That's gotta be a joke.
Generally, as a guy myself, I don't care much about height, although I prefer 5'4" or over.
For someone to disqualify you for just that is stupid.

Ngl I see both points. I.e I'm not attracted to short men. I like tall guys because I'm so short, I don't want a twin god dammit!
At the same time, I don't want a fat boyfriend or an anorexic boyfriend, I just want a healthy boyfriend. Aka I'm attracted to healthy looking (average weight but not particularly muscly) men who are 5'9 or higher. Gotta be at LEAST 6" taller than me lmfao. I feel like I'm in middle school if I'm around someone who's as short as me or shorter xD
[–]JewelFazbear 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[+]genesis_girl2131 points 6 years ago [recovered] (12 children) | Copy Link
I think it’s a double standard if he asked her for her height and then she refused to tell him. Asking for weight is a little different in my opinion. Again, just my opinion.
[–]DefiantInterview 70 points71 points72 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
It is different - because a person has no control over their height. But she’d clearly reject him for it.
[+]genesis_girl213 -60 points-59 points-58 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
That’s a good point. I do understand that. However weight does go hand-in-hand with height. If she said 150lb you’d think she was huge unless you also found out she was 6 foot or something. So asking just weight is a little silly. But I can see where you’re coming from
[–]Vulvasaurus-Lix 22 points23 points24 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
That’s a good point. I do understand that. However weight does go hand-in-hand with height. If she said 150lb you’d think she was huge unless you also found out she was 6 foot or something. So asking just weight is a little silly.
Which is precisely why whenever I encounter one of those "What's your Height?" frauds, rather than asking her, "What's your 'Weight'?" I instead ask: What's your "DRESS SIZE"? -- that always hits a LOT CLOSER to "Home," and usually halts any further progression of those "all condition / no substance" conversations dead in their tracks right there.
[–]genesis_girl213 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]SouloftheVoid3 points 6 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[+]genesis_girl213 -36 points-35 points-34 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Not really. If a woman told you she was 150lb wouldn’t you also want to know how tall she was at that point? But he didn’t ask for height and weight, just weight and out of context it’s a silly question.
[–]BaconEater707 22 points23 points24 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
See but the answer doesn’t even matter. He’s not asking because he wants an answer, he’s showing how judging a guy based solely on height is similar to judging based solely on weight. It about the double standard and not the answer
[–]Vulvasaurus-Lix 14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
But the same thing could've been said in her case as well. For instance, let's play the game of "WHAT IF...?" for a moment and say that her panties got saturated the moment someone she'd judged only from a "head shot" had informed her he was over 6-feet tall and judged him on that alone... how would she know if along with being 6+ feet he also was carrying around a 42-inch gut? Now on the flip-side, a man she's initially interested in responds to her question by informing her that he's 5' 8" (as 5' 9" -- at least back home in Hawaii -- appears to be the ABSOLUTE acceptable "minimum") and her pussy dries-up like the Mojave Desert, but it just so happens that the guy is "ripped" to shreds, is extremely healthy, and has TONS of "endurance" and "staying power"... and PROBABLY might even have one of those kick-ass awesome "attitudes/personalities" to boot?
So similarly, if a woman who expresses interest in a man and hones in on only "ONE" aspect of his physical physique (and always the one he has ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL OVER), then why is it unfair for the Bloke to do likewise, only cutting to the chase of finding out if she cares enough about herself to try to present herself as a desirable catch by monitoring and maintaining a physical aspect about herself that she actually CAN "control"?
This is exactly why the vast majority of ADVERTISERS target "FEMALE" consumers... because they recognize that women shop & buy "impulsively."
