The primarily obsolete rule that a person coming to the aid of a third party has no more right to defend the third party than the third party would, himself, have had to defend himself.

Edit: downvotes, really? Cmon guys there was no context it's a valid question. In fact someone else told me she assaulted someone, which means the pepper spray to the face was more than warranted and I agree with it. Now maybe since a few people told me the story others that had the same questions as me have their answers by looking in the comments. But if she was just protesting and generally being annoying it wouldn't have been, and not because she's a woman but because we can't go around macing people because we think they are stupid.

I wouldn't say attempted, she did. She hit an older man in the face after trying to summon white knights by saying that he molested her. The crowd knew better, and after she fail rolled, she punched him. But the older guy was just a trap card and sprung his counter attack from a guy behind him that used "mace in yo face", it was super effective.
