Just got out of a LTR, and i hate how accurate everything in this book is. It’s kinda depressing. I read it once before after a really healthy relationship a few years after college and saw but didn’t really agree with a lot of it. (In hindsight should’ve married that girl, but I was young and horny sigh)

Anyways I’m 31 now I just got of a year long relationship a few weeks ago that started great but eventually became toxic. She was obsessed with how much money I made and a certain lifestyle, yet she fell for me even though I had zero money at the time…and when I finally start making good money it still wasn’t enough. I realized it’d probably never be enough and got out. I need someone who loves me for me, not stuff i can’t take with me to the grave.

But goddamn this book makes me feel like love doesn’t exist and that’s not even possible. How do you reconcile that? How do you still like women? Or are not infuriated by them or the truths in this book? I know there are some good ones out there but as a whole idk… It’s hard to reread this book after more life experience.
