The problem with #MeToo is that it's all virtue signalling. All these Hollywood starlets saying they've been harassed, some as children, yet no names. Chances are these harassers are still employed in Hollywood and are still harassing others, including children.
The other thing is that the whole Weinstein and the "casting couch" has been part of Hollywood since the beginning. There's been Weinstein jokes throughout the years and the casting couch has been mentioned in movies for decades. Elijah Wood and Corey Feldman have talked about this years ago. Quite honestly, if a woman (not child) figures that doing something nasty with a nasty man is worth advancement in Hollywood, so be it. Maybe instead of doing that nasty thing, she should have gone to the authorities so that that person could be stopped.
Hollywood is the most hypocritical organization ever. They tout on about equal this, equal that up on their high horse, how Trump is horrible to women yet turn a blind eye to decades of sexual harassment, sexual abuse and pedophilia. Give me a break.

Please read past the first sentence. This is about much more than what we speculate happens in Hollywood, it just sparked me to open up about sexual harrassment in the world around us. I just want people to know that it's not okay to make someone feel like they're a sex object.

Everyone knows this. That is why there are laws and prison sentences against sexual harassment, sexual abuse and rape. Rapists and child rapists are at the very bottom of prison social hierarchies because even hardened criminals know the above is not okay.
Clearly not since it still happens.

Murder, theft and lots of other evil things happen. I don't believe you understand how humanity works as your ideal utopia will never exist.
I've literally had a boss grab my ass and then been told that "that's a serious accusation" and for years I've been embarrassed to talk about it and have been made to feel like I've lied. And it's bullshit that it's okay for women to feel that way when they just try to open up about how wrong it is. How is it obvious that "everyone knows this" when that boss still has the same job and I had to leave years ago because I felt uncomfortable. That kind of shit alone is fucked up.
I've had my breasts grabbed, have had a man expose himself to me, have had my body critiqued in front of peers and bosses in front of others and so forth and when that happened, I went to my superior so that the people in question were dealt with appropriately and most importantly will not do that to others.
This will be harsh - but you need to deal with your own feelings. With regards to all the starlets in Hollywood talking about their abuse as a child yet not speak up - they are just as bad as the abuser. As Ben Shapiro puts it, if I knew someone was going to murder a child and did nothing, I would be culpable in the murder. This is no different.
There's enough #WoymnPower out there that no woman should feel weird or ashamed of bringing up actual accusations. If you are, then that's on you and no set of laws or hash tags will help because the problem is inside you.
