not being argumentative, but if you aren't looking for a specific red pill answer, why are you asking specifically in a Red Pill subforum? kind of confusing.
i think those other women are fools. just whipping it out and discarding what your SO thinks or feels is rude and disrespectful. and pining this disagreement on your husband being ignorant about breastfeeding is also kind of rude, even if it may be a little bit true.
he very clearly told you he is uncomfortable about it. he even told you why -- valid reasons, i suppose. he suggested pumping and using a bottle, which lots of mothers do. i think you should strongly reconsider your defense and defer in this case to your husband.
