The lack of Nietzsche in this post disturbs me. His rejection of morality and use of the will to power as a theoretical basis for all living organisms not only acts as a precursor to evolutionary biology but also interpersonal dynamics (relationships being seen as an exchange, value = power, etc). Since he writes in criticism of a lot of older philosophers in poetic style his work is fairly dense for those uninitiated to philosophical literature, but Academy of ideas on YouTube has an excellent and succinct series on him.
