Be me, date girl for a few years and end in a nasty break up 1 a year or so ago. She dumped me.

For the last year we’ve been on and off and recently its been more on than off.

She is now in a sticky situation where she needs to move but needs to leave today, and can’t move in to the new place for another 15 days. She asked to stay with me and I was going to let her stay for free but shes also been treating me like shit.

Now when I floated the idea of her paying some rent for the time here, she started to get uppity and salty. Her reason to not pay is because she wants to save money.

Her last rent was $840 and the new place is $500. I’m asking her for $200 for the 15 days because if she spent a month at my place she’d pay $500 so I’m still shaving $50 off the total.

This means shed end up paying $700 this month instead of $840. So in reality she’s saving $140.

I explained all of this and she’s still saying that I’m being unfair and unreasonable. I was honestly not going to charge anything because old times sake and camaraderie but shes so rude and nasty that I need to make up for that mistreatment somehow.

Am I crazy here?
