This is excellent. I was not trying to do an exhaustive post, just throw it out there for some fun discussion. The paper you have linked to is a very good attempt at summarising the various male types in the spectrum.

If we keep going with all these different labels for male archetypes we're going to end up sounding like tumblr with all their dozens of genders.

So a couple of points:
A. I think you be mislabeling "Omegas" as "Gammas". Omegas are the dead-enders, which you seem to be listing. When we talk about how in LTR/MRP situations you have to be 80/20 Alpha/Beta, that's basically "Gamma".
B. Why no love for Sigmas? Guys who don't like the rules so they change them, and blaze their own path, outside of societal norms. Ex. Wolverine, Han Solo, James Bond, Bruce Wayne/Batman, Sherlock Holmes, etc. Sort of "Renegade Alphas", who don't need or can't be bothered with the social hierarchy that is the Alphas milieu.

+1 on the sigma. Where alphas are winning the game, betas are muddling throuhg, and omegas are losing by a shutout.
Sigmas threw away the scoreboard. The lifetime LTR that isn't married with a family, the guy with financial freedom, but not the debt filled bling to keep her haaapy.
Literally taking life as it happens.

Definitely should include the sigmas, great list. I mainly used gamma to squeeze in the hulk joke.

Alphas dominate a group, Beta's are submissive in a group Gamma's are rejected or reject the group themselves.
It's fair to put a guy like Conan O'Brien as a beta because despite being high status he seems like the type of guy who would go out of his way to lower himself or be submissive even if he could dominate based on status. Just as it's fair to put a guy like Vladmir Putin as an Alpha because even if he were in a situation where he was not dominant based on status he would likely fight for dominance, win or lose.
