I have not been a subscriber of this page for long; in fact, I found interest in it after a very beta liberal posted how horrible it was. After reading dozens of posts, it's become clear that it coincides well with my ideologies.
Anyways, I'd like to share an applicable story, considered as a lesson learned.
3.5 years ago I met a women at a party, when I saw her I told myself that I had no choice but to talk to her, otherwise another male would. I ended up talking to her and hitting it off, she told me to find her on FB. Her and I spoke for about a month just on messenger, at the time I had 2 other women I was talking to, but she had my true interest. Once I obtained her phone number, we began to hang out; she initiated me with sex soon after, and before you know it we were in a 3 year committed relationship. After two years, I asked her to marry me. I was overwhelmingly involved with her family and community, we paid for our wedding venue and had a date set up.
We aren't together anymore. What happened? I became a beta without even realizing it. When we started dating, she was infatuated with me; she would question the reality of me, she would do anything I wanted. Then I got comfortable. Before we met, I was well on my way to some extremely successful feats in my college career, but once we were engaged and getting a place together, I began to put my personal successes aside for her. The problem is that when we met, I told her that I was gonna do whatever I wanted to do, and that she could join. Well it turned into me doing what she wanted me to do; for what? I gave up on some significant things, just to be broken up. My alpha personality was put aside to cater to her, probably because she was flat out gorgeous and had one of the nicest bodies I've ever seen. Poor move.
Now she's gone, and wouldn't give me an ounce of her attention if I had something to say. I still see her around, and all I feel is anger. It truly seems that I demasculinated to cater to her, and maybe she found that weak and unnatractive, without either of us realizing it. She began to view herself as above me, and I know that by the way she gave me ultimatums to be with her again (which I wasn't doing).
Men, we are leaders. In a relationship, we are supposed to be leaders. Don't get side-tracked by seductive beauty and sex. Even sometimes now I still battle with why we aren't together, but I've been with several women since her, nothing serious, though. The 'reason' we split up isn't very clear, which is why I'm speculating. Interestingly enough, I was the one who recommended a break to begin with. She used this as ammo, and whatever support group she had fueling her position of power convinced her that she had control over the situation.
Needless to say I didn't cave to accommodate which is good, but she went for total character assassination once she realized this. Women will tell you everything you want to her, especially about commitment, then bail once you become a beta and forget how to be a proper alpha. Don't let infatuation run you; if she loves you, she will support you being an alpha, plain and simple.
