Pre-selection? Isn't this concept called social proof?

They are similar but different. Social proof is visual evidence of a person's social status in any given environment, which can include being in the company of attractive women, whereas preselection is the phenomenon of men who have many sexual partners being perceived as more attractive by other women - "If everybody else wants it, it must be valuable".

When you have "preselected", women who are aware of it will rationalise it and confer positive traits to you in their imagination.

Think of it as a screening shortcut women use subconsciously. It is incredibly powerful and if you get good at the game it will serve as a catalyst to propel you further into more and more success with women.

Doesn't this study just show that men think that flaunting their partner helps them somehow? Maybe they're trying to impress their male friends with the hot babe they've got. Maybe they're just wrong. This doesn't sound like confirmation of anything.
