I was reading an article that linked to another article, that linked to another article - you know how it goes - and suddenly I found myself reading this:

Study: More Wives Admit To Cheating

Now, the subject matter is one we are very familiar with, but this sentence, I had to read three or four times:

The percentage of wives who admit to indiscretions has jumped 40 percent over the last two decades to 14.7 percent. Husbands hold steady at 21 percent.

From what I know, and from what I personally see in my daily life from friends, family, coworkers, and acquaintances, this number is shockingly low. I recognize this could be because these are women and men who admit to affairs, but I was curious, what do you think the actual number is?
