I have TRP to thank for the massive, massive change in my life. I am sorry if this post is against the rules, but I am not sorry for writing this here.

A year ago, my life got BRUTALLY fucked over. By friends, and by business partners. I didn't even have a girlfriend, and I didn't understand why.

I remember the first few days here. Between the dumb posts and the woman hating posts, I could sense an air of self confidence among the guys here. I don't know why, I finally acknowledged myself. I met me for the first time. I skipped all the parts about women and relationships(which is the majority) and focused on self improvement.

I gymmed for a year, and every morning I would find time to read TRP. It wasn't swift... I had 29 years of self-hate to fix. But it actually worked. It's difficult, but you either go all the way or give up and go back.

I suddenly noticed I was better with people, I could see through a lot of bullshit, I had reconnected with the man in me. I dropped a lot of deadweight friends, and... I don't know how to put this, but I feel like I discovered how much of a man I could become. It's crazy because I didn't really see myself as that before. Suddenly I could see how all of my problems were a direct result of my actions and behavior. I really had to hit rock bottom before I saw it.

It's still a daily battle... a lot of bad habits keep coming back. But I can firmly say I am in control. For the first time ever.

Someone recommended "No More Mr Nice Guy" recently. I got it a week ago, but it was useless to me. Because I had already made ALL of those changes by myself. But what a great book. I wish I'd read it about 10 years ago. But that's fine, I'm just relieved to be in control.

Oh the women thing got fixed too. Big time. I didn't even try. I realized what a huge pussy I'd been all along, it's shameful. So many misled young men in the world. And it isn't even their fault. What utter, utter shit we're told by books/TV/women/the fucking media. But I'll be honest, I don't really relate with the women hating here. But that's okay, to each his own.

Anyway. Just wanted to thank this community. To Reddit, this may be a place of misogyny. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, I don't care. I come here for self improvement and feel like a man among men. I haven't contributed but I plan to. Maybe at some point when this sub is more about becoming the man, rather than spinning plates, whatever that is.

Thank you all. For reading, and sharing such amazing personal stuff.

EDIT: Would love it if you guys could recommend further reading material. I am all about applying stuff so it's not like I read stuff and forget about it. Thanks in advance!
