I have a friend who is excellent at text game. He's so good at it that it would actually be bad advice to tell him to only text for logistics. And I have another friend who's not so good.

The friend who's not so good got a girl's number and wanted to text her right when he got home. He knows his text game sucks though, so he asked for advice from my other friend, who said "Wait a while to text her."

That wasn't the advice my friend wanted. If the expert is such an expert, shouldn't he just know how to text her then and there, and still get a good result? He demanded advice on something to text right now.

The expert reluctantly asked them a few questions about the girl, thought for a second, and sent her a text. My friend texted the girl and eagerly waited for a response. She went radio silent. He tried again later. Still no response. Eventually he gave up.

He didn't understand the result and asked "If you're so good at texting then why didn't she respond?" The expert gave a simple answer: "If I weren't the type to wait a while to text her, then I'd be a lousy texter too."

Lesson Learned: This post has nothing to do with text game. The lesson here is that experts are not people who can just do whatever they'd like and pull off whatever stunt you want them to. Being excellent at something means that you understand how the world works and know how to use that. It doesn't mean that ignoring reality will just work for you.
