TL;DR: impressing female interviewers requires different strategies: feels over reals.
There are situations in life where you have to impress an interview panel or an individual interviewer for any number of things, from a job to an apartment to a funding grant. Many times you'll have to deal with women in these roles.
Game is contextual. There's a time to dial up the assholery (such as when hitting on a sassy 8 or 9), and a time to severely dial it back (such as when dealing with feminists in the office), and a time to dial back the assholery while dialing up the charisma and charm (such as during interviews).
Male interviewers are prone to the **Halo Effect***, but, in my experience, not as severely as women are.
*The Halo Effect is, roughly, when you like certain traits about a person you assume all their traits are great; for example, you think good looking people are more competent and moral.
Male interviewers look more for technical skills: can you do the job? Are you knowledgeable about the company and its services and your roles?
Female interviewers are guided more by feels: does this candidate feel right for the job? Do I like the vibes I get from this person?
Translated from hamsterspeak, this means: is this person charismatic, charming, and alpha enough to inspire my tingles and respect?
Now, it's important to remember--and noobies and autists fuck this up--that game is not a sledgehammer. Having a "strong frame" or being an asshole combined with charmless buffoonery and cluelessness to social context will not get you far in life. For instance, in social settings where you are a relative outsider to a close-knit group, you have to demonstrate you are not a weirdo or sperg and this means building rapport and comfort and demonstrating some social saavy. This is hard to teach. In interview contexts, and contexts where women wield power over you, you must hit the sweetspot of garnering her respect but not dismissing her and triggering any bitchiness.
This post is drawing on. I have more thoughts to develop on this, but for now I'd like to open it to the floor. What strategies best work on women who are in positions of power over you? In what social or work contexts should game be adjusted, and in what ways, to get ahead?
Lessons learned: "feels over reals" is a good rule of thumb when dealing with women, and in interview contexts you must play to their feels. But you must apply game in a contextually refined way: dial back the assholery, dial up the charisma.
