Hey gentlemen this is my first post on TRP. I will keep this post short and sweet. As you can tell by the title I am going to be speaking about blogging and making money online.

Back-story: I run a semi-successful blog as well as I have several e-commerce sites. Depending on the response from this thread I will release the names of my sites and go into more detail.

Shall we begin? I am writing this for all of the people out there who are going through the blogging craze. I have been hearing of people giving up their jobs in order to pursue blogging. Are you kidding me? I have to give you a thumbs up for going after what you want, but how are you going to support yourself?

No matter how good of a writer you are your blog will not make any money unless you have traffic flowing to your site that buys what you offer.

I will name several ways that bloggers can make money: 1. eBooks 2. Affiliate links 3. Ads 4. Offering other products or services

If you can direct a good bit of traffic to any or all of the above options then yes maybe you will be able to make money otherwise it's a waste of time if money is your goal.

With a blog you make money by building up a loyal audience that will then purchase whatever you put out. Building that core audience takes time to develop. Will it take you 1 month or 5 years is completely up to how much of a demand there is for what you offer or how good you are.

Conclusion: If you want to make money then I would recommend that you dive into the following: 1. Start an e-commerce store(Drop-Ship, Affiliate Links, Services) 2. Start an offline business 3. There are people who make part-time income off of Fiverr 4. Freelance your writing or other skills
