I met a girl a while ago at a party and we became friends later on. I found out later that she's extremely sexually active and I figured "if she fucks those guys then she'll surely fuck me right?" WRONG! After going on this subreddit and reading the book No More Mr. Nice Guy, I realized I was going at it all wrong. While she was fucking random guys every other day, I was talking to her and trying to be her friend. I put myself in the friendzone by being her friend! For some reason I expected this will lead to a sexual relationship. In all honesty I gave up trying to fuck her because I don't want to anymore. Why should I work to get something others easily achieve? I think I'm worth more than that.

Now here's the thing though. I genuinely appreciate her friendship. She was there for me during some really shitty times. It would be an asshole move if I suddenly stopped talking to her for no real reason. At the same time I'm worried that if the situation of sleeping with her presents itself, I would cave. Its very likely to not happen but forgive me for being naive.

I would still classify myself as a blue pill but I think I'm definitely in the "awakening" period. The first step to solving a problem is recognizing that there is one. I'm just curious what your guy's input is.
