The majority of you all started as beta bux chumps. Why else would you be on TRP. What I am trying to convey in this post is that the experiences and lessons from Boy Scouts apply to TRP, especially the transition phase. The discipline and knowledge the Boy Scouts teaches will help one consistently make progress lifting and provides masculine skills that are helpful when picking up women. It's pretty sad how alive and real the stereotype of Boy Scouts being dorky losers is. In my high school, the captains of the lacrosse, baseball, and soccer teams, and a bunch of other good guys who all fucked and were absolutely alpha were Boy Scouts in my troop.

Summary - I grew up in a family that was all about scouting and, while I hated it at times for being ridiculed by peers, it instilled in me the seeds of morality and personal strength that make me the man that I am these days.

The Boy Scouts of America has a few simple idioms that are required to be internalized for advancements in rank. The slogan, Be Prepared, was always the most outstanding to me. You can always do something to prepare yourself better than others. Being prepared/ready puts you in the right mindset and gives you a competitive edge.

I desired to become an Eagle scout when I was around 14. The goal was lofty and would take two years to reach, but it taught me the importance of persistence and hard work. I learned how to build something from the ground up, ask for what I needed, and lead an entire community service effort on my own.

Scouting teaches leadership. The underlying mission of the Boy Scouts is to develop immature fuckboys into leaders with character. The troop system loosely resembles an Army Company. Troop meetings and camp outs are supposed to be organized and led by the boys; logistics are strictly for adults (at least in my troop). I do not know of many other places where two 17 year olds are in charge of five 14 year olds who each are responsible for five 11 year olds. It's pretty fucking cool.

I'll conclude this post by saying if you were a Boy Scout than you probably have experienced much of what I am talking about. If you were not, that's fine. But take away the importance of conducting a healthy lifestyle that revolves around self discipline and your own set of morals. If you are the father of a young boy and want help raise him to be a young man, sign him up at your local troop.
