The process of unplugging has not been pleasant. Undoing a lifetime of blue pill ideology is no small task. Sure I do the reading, and from a logical perspective TRP makes a ton of sense, but understanding and application are two completely different things.
One of my struggles with regard to application is that the majority of BP behaviors are almost second nature and thus I have to make a conscious effort to change. I've also noticed that my entire (current) social environment is no longer conducive to my development.
This is two-fold as I believed myself to be worth more than I was (which led to frustration and related feelings) and that my social circle effectively views me as a loser.
I understand that because I was a lazy loser, but now it seems that no one wants to see me grow.
The changes that I've made are being met with more and more opposition to the point where I don't actually enjoy spending more than and hour at most with them. Is it a weird type of tough love ? Do they want to see me stay inside the same hole ?
Has anyone else had this similar experience? TBH I'm tired of them and anyone that doesn't bring anything to my life now. They constantly complain that I'm angry and distant, but it's usually just me being tired of them. Could it be because I've always been an asshole? Even at my most BP I've always been an asshole?
Anyone else had a similar experience?
