Hey guys. I'm the kind of guy who is genuine with everybody he meets and takes interest in what others say (although I'm major narcissist as well) and I will enjoy being that guy. But I want to develop the more dominant side of my personality as well. I'm a very kind person, but I'm not nice. I take interest in others, but I don't sugarcoat things, I don't do what others want, etc, so I think I've found a balance in my kindness, at least.

By being genuine and interested, I find it super easy to talk to anybody and I'm generally not affected by the outcomes of things; however, I'd like to become more dominant. I have a naturally low voice and I think that helps, but sometimes I can't help but think that others are more dominant than myself and get away with it. I'd like to cultivate more asshole-ish traits into my personality, but I'm also a very genuine and kind person. Do I just do this by establishing very strong boundaries, or do I just dismiss things I don't have an interest in? I'm average height and pretty skinny (although I'm working on that) so bigger and more asshole-ish guys seem to make me feel like they're superior. I'm not intimidated by them, but I want to be on the same level of dominance as them so I don't feel like they're superior to me.

tl;dr How do I cultivate more dominant traits (What is dominance?) into my personality while still remaining a kind and genuine person?

Thanks
