You should check out BJJ. A lot of people I know go from wrestling to that. In the military we had free K maga classes too.

My college had a BBJ club, I had a blast doing it. As someone that has done both BBJ and Wrestling, they are VERY similar. The main difference is wrestling's goal is to pin the openent and BBJ's goal is to make the opponent give up due to pain (summition). My college also had Aikido, Self-Defence, and Fencing PE classes. Finally, the college gym had karate classes.

Both knew how to use aggression, how to throw a punch, and thought they could beat me down because I'm only 5'8" and they were between 6'0 to 6'3". Once you ground a man he's the same height as you are. His reach doesn't mean shit and if you are on top he loses his strength advantage.
Ground and pound. Unlike UFC, head butts are perfectly legal in street fights.
Knowing how to fight is the greatest deterrent to fighting. It gives you confidence and poise and calm in the face of aggression and that will make a guy think twice and or defuse aggressive situations.

Im joining the military and i heard they have it so i will pursue it. - Make sure you know what you get into. Military does not give a shiet about anything less then your best ability. If you want to do it for the money, or career consider your options ahead of time, go for officer and aim high.
Try not to be infantry, they get fucked first, always and sideways. Grunts get most shitty, dangerous and boring assignments ever known to man - and are often used as bait. If you can go to officer school is always a bonus, both in pay, in rank, status and opportunities later on.
Remember too that war is business and is not personal. War is always business. Then again I am Canadian, so we maybe have a bit different perspective on these things.

It takes 9 people per every person in the combat to support them. I am intelligent so i wont be cannon fodder.

Yeah, my father was a wrestler in HS and it helped him in the few street fights he got into as a bouncer (especially the sprawling maneuvers). This is why I also think Judo is great- it teaches you balance and throwing a guy to the ground tends to end a fight immediately- no need for ground game. Plus, most people aren't used to seeing something get judo tossed, even a basic toss looks technical as fuck and scares most people out of wanting to tangle with you. The downside is you can literally kill someone if you slam them hard enough.
I also think striking is important though. Boxing and kickboxing seem to become more and more underrated, but there is a reason MMA guys train in those sports too. If the guy has friends, you might be choking him out on the ground but they will proceed to kick your head and stomp on it...not really good.

I was a dual sport athlete for many years (wrestling / american football), and I definitely agree with the points you make about wrestling.
One more thing that you develop with wrestling, is getting comfortable putting yourself out there solo, in front of a large crowd. You have these large crowds watching only you (in a singlet no less), and you have to put that pressure and self consiousness out of your mind, and do what needs done. Yes, the wins feel incredible when you succeed purely on your own personal skill in front of a cheering crowd,,, but also learning how to take a high profile defeat with dignity, is a great skill to develop.
