INTRO: I discuss what I've noticed in my life about guys who seemed to be popular in a given group or at a particular stage of their lives. By now, most guys on here who know about game and sexual strategy know that popularity (commonly referred to as "status") is huge when it comes to being liked by people and doing well with some of the better looking women out there. Being a social and popular guy who is seen as "cool" (if they still use that word) definitely has its benefits. I observe something I've noticed among the popular guys I met at various stages of their lives.
BODY:
I remember watching the movie "Neighbors" with Zac Efron and in one part of the movie Dave Franco says something along the lines of "we came into college as virgins man!" when arguing with Zac. Now both Dave and Zac are cool frat bro types in college (generally seen as high status throughout American universities) but it brought me back to something I realized about a lot of the higher status and cool guys I met throughout my life at various stages.
For me, it has always seemed like the guys who missed the boat in high school looked forward to college and used that to make up for their lost time. A lot of these guys put their best foot forward and did everything they could to make sure that they never missed the boat again, so they ended up dominating in college. As for the guys who were the man in high school, it seems like they almost became jaded and said "whatever". I guess that is where the stereotype of the jock that got fat and bald as an adult came from. Also why so many hot girls I knew from high school got fat?
Almost like there is some phenomenon happening where people who were the cool high status folks in high school became jaded and gave up while the mediocre average kids who felt like they missed out dominated on the next phase of their life, college.
Most higher status guys I have met in the real world seemed to have this lower status/loser past. Like they were never the popular athletes in high school that got all the hot girls but they let that anger and resentment drive them to improving themselves to where they did become a relatively higher status and popular guy in the real world. I notice this with some actors and their past selves as well, such as guys like Zac Efron himself or Adam Levine. Almost like that rejection and fear of missing out made these people work on themselves to where they dominated at the next stage of life because of it. They might not been invited to the nice party in high school but they threw a hell of a party at their condo as adults.
Rather than being the ones who caved in and gave up, these guys used that social isolation to their advantage to live a better life as adults or college kids than the cool kids they knew in high school.
I wonder what the red pill's take on this is since appearances, popularity, and status do matter.
LESSONS LEARNED:
A lot of the people who are higher status and popular as adults might have been low status at one point in the past.
