It depends how you use it. Add the "News Feed Eradicator for Facebook" and only use it for close friends and family to keep in touch/organize events, mind your privacy settings and don't really post much of shit and you're fine.

I only use it for news feeds, close family and friends and networking thru groups I've joined. You can just unfollow people and their feed won't show up.

It's cost/benefit. If you have a high SMV then FB could be used to your benefit to make more connections. On the other hand disappearance can also increase your worth as well.
