Yes it was a shit test, and here's where you failed. Read her by her ACTIONS, not by what she says. This was probably just very easy token resistance. If she says that and actually pulls herself away while saying it, she means it and you should try to warm her up some more and talk your way into escalation. But if she said that and didn't do anything, just stayed close to you waiting for your next move, you should have just gave her a grin and slowly kept going.

Last Minute Resistance. You skipped the comfort phase. You went from the attraction phase straight to the seduction phase.

Phase 1: Attraction - establish mutual attraction.

Phase 2: Comfort - build comfort and rapport. conversation. Connection. Trust. Light flirtation. Minimum 5 to 7 hours.

Phase 3: Seduction - isolate. Establish intent. Kino. Foreplay. Sex.

If you move from the comfort phase too soon "buyers remorse" is more likely to result, she will feel like an easy slut and will project that feeling onto the thought of you. She will feel obligated to concede to foreplay as to not come across as a tease, but will not have sex with you.
