Alpha and Beta here on the board is better used as a spectrum rather than a classification. Any one man is going to show both traits in varying quantities rather than one or the other.

It can be used in absolute terms, but then it's more a social classification based on position in the group.

1) Most people are satisfied with a modicum of success. They deep down just want a decent salary, decent girl that will love them, and one day a decent family. That is a reasonable goal. We fully understand you don't need RP to get any of that.

You seem to think that we have these extreme principles and ideas, and you're rightfully saying "Look, you don't need these ideas to get the average amount of sex, success, etc etc." Which is true. What you're forgetting this that the average amount of sex is PITIFUL, the average physical acheivements of men are shit, and the average intellectual development of people ends after college. When we say "take your body to the next level by lifting, become "alpha" in how you approach life, get charismatic, get the women you want, etc" we are saying that to a small % of society.

We are saying it to people who want to be in the elite. To be in the financial elite, you generally have to focus a ton on your business, your finances, your work ethic, etc etc. Some people will randomly get to be in that elite via birth, but others seeking to break the barrier between broke and ELITE, not just rich but top of the top, will have to get extreme.

So you are right. To get success with women, you don't need to do anything here. Learn to speak well, be normal, be confident, done. Shit, you don't even need that to get a girl - any moron can get a girl. Any girl can get a decent guy. We're not saying we are better or worse than that guy, we are simply saying that we want to be in the elite. Can you walk into a club and know that you can, fully sober, go up to girls and interact with the hottest ones without getting intimidated? Probably not. Can you say that you selected your wife/GF from a pool of several attractive, high quality women... or did you just take whoever came your way?

To those pursuing that top level of success, especially those who had bad circumstances early in life, like a absent father for example, they are going to have to work hard. They will have to get, as you say, extreme. You don't like RP because they are not doing what most guys are doing. Yet if you do what you've always done - or what everyone else does - then what do you get?

So in short, being reasonable is fine if you want a reasonable life. And most people do, which is why TRP does not focus on advertising. We do not care about recruiting - we do not want, as you say, for "all people to become men" or "the internet to take us seriously". We are not Mike Chang's Six Pack Secrets or The Dating Guru Method for Average Guys. Why would we, as you say, improve our diplomacy skills. We aren't missionaires trying to recruit people - in fact, to keep the focus on optimizing sexual strategy in the modern world, it helps to have newcomers be people who have already figured out how RP ideas are self-evident in reality. We need the extreme people - the people who have gone to great lengths, because they know things that a person who just grew up, dated Sally from his econ class, married her, etc, doesn't know. They may be wrong, but they at least contribute to the discussion.

Alpha and Beta aren't meant to be viewed as classes, but rather traits. Some people have more alpha traits than others, and, more often than not, succeed in life. To expand on this, a person can't be purely alpha, or beta, because we just don't work like that. We try to be as alpha as we can, because we want to be successful in life.

No qualms with the first part. Now, it's not easy for men to fuck their way into power. If you are a good looking man, and you blatantly go around asking women if they would sleep with you, you will get rejected 100% of the time. If you are a good looking woman, and you do the same (with men), you will only get rejected 50% of the time. (yes I'm referring to that youtube video) So, yes. Men want to have sex with women (statistically infinitely) more than women with men (from this data). Thus, there aren't as many men fucking their way into power. It's actually amazing that men get laid at all.

A reasonable man is useless if he doesn't have the spine, confidence, courage or integrity to defend his reason. All of which are alpha traits. Most women (and some men) are not reasonable. They make decision based on what they feel, rather than reason. That's why they cheat, lie, and have the capability to perform horrible acts, then justify it in the end. (Rationalization, hamsters spinning) That means you have to uphold reason, and doing that makes you alpha.

Beta men are troubled, but not all troubled men are beta. So, I guess you're right in that aspect.

From this post, I get the impression that you have alpha characteristics, but you are quite a narrow-mind in that you can't see things from another person's point of view. So, before you judge, how about you spend a day in another man's shoes?
