The actual content of this post may be different than the title would lead one to believe. I'll put the TL;DR at the beginning:
Avoid a victim mentality.
This is the type of thinking that our "opposition"(sarcasm) adopts and should be avoided at all costs. It's not helpful, constructive, or empowering. It does not lead to strength, success, or confidence.
You can read this idea in the side bar and throughout the manosphere.
Men are actors.
Victims are acted upon. Don't wallow in self pity. Identify the factors that are leading to your shitty feelings, develop a strategy on how to change them, implement it. Act.
Don't make enough money? Sorry you majored in a liberal art (personal example). Let that pity party wash over you and change your situation. Learn something valuable.
That girl broke your heart? Look forward. To paraphrase an idea of Nietzsche's, focusing the will upon the past is a futile exercise. It only brings more pain and wastes the present. Develop the capacity to forget.
Feel timid or disrespected at work? Make an effort to look people in the eye and work on a firm handshake. Take these small steps first. It's universally agreed upon that the former is vital to strong first impressions. The rest follows from that.
Intimidated by attractive women? Keep outside of your comfort zone. I think it may have been illimitableman<sp?> who posted a link about monk-mode. Take some time and develop yourself and your confidence.
No matter what, do not adopt a victim mentality. Don't complain about these things, change them. Small steps are better than none at all. An object at rest, stays at rest. An object in motion, stays in motion. Unless of course, some opposing force is applied. But, sidestep that shit and push forward. The opposite does nothing for you.
