I was browsing okcupid earlier today and a girl caught my interest. Like always I checked her out for common interests and bingo we have a winner. So I started typing out a short 2-3 sentence message asking about her personal trainer career (something I do as well) just before I sent the message I noticed on her profile under the section message me if: it said "-only message me if you are 6 ft + ... sorry little boys!"

Now let me clarify, I'm 5'8" and comfortable with my height. I don't even really have issues with women who are taller than me, they are all women just the same. But something about this threw up a major red flag for me. So basically this girl is trying to prescreen all of her messages to men taller than 6ft. That's fine, its what she's into nothing gained nothing lost on my part...but my issue here is what would it be like if we flipped this around.

Imagine the shit storm that would be my inbox if I dropped a line like that onto my profile. "only message me if: you have a cup size larger than D ...sorry ladies" I'd come off as an arrogant, chauvanistic fool for saying something like that to people I'd never met.

All I can say is that I don't see how this kind of behavior should be considered acceptable for a woman when the same thing on the mans side would have him castrated by a feminist army. Needless to say I didn't send the girl a message because I have little, if any desire to talk to her now.

Wanted to know everyone's thoughts on this... is this a double standard? I certainly believe it is.
