Racist, elitist can't think of any other nasty names to call you :-) This has been shown in countless ways with the book called The Bell Curve. He then showed that majority of societies problems are caused by the bottom 5%. The guy who wrote the book got slammed heavily.

The lower half of the bell curve is now growing faster then the upper half. A population which is comprised of mainly stupid people helps maintain the status quo :-)

A 20 year old article by a social science statitician. Hardly cutting edge.

A low sample size (identical twins separated at birth) combined with subjective descriptions (middle class, intelligence) put it in the "interesting but unpersuasive" bucket.

I would believe this except the smartest people I know are never the richest. Usually the richest simply inherit their wealth.
