I thought I'd make this so bear with me...

Tonight I went out with a couple of buddies from my campus and I decided to look at everything from a RP POV.

To begin with I talked to this one person from the group (HB7) and we talked a decent amount and I could see she was trying to make eye contact with me while others were talking amongst themselves. I noticed that I would often break it and it would result to us exchanging glances throughout the day. One thing I noticed is that I'm still not as confident as I thought I am with eye contact and things could have been so much better if I would have maintained healthy eye contact.

Later we were talking and she started touching on my arm and laughing while talking. While I feel as if I did a good job maintaining my frame, I still feel as if I could've done a lot better. I ended up getting her contact info afterwards.

Finally we were all talking and I noticed she was staring at me and shortly afterwards she asked me a few questions and we kicked off another conversation. She was into it but I definitely could have escalated further. One thing I noticed is that I did not neg/tease her at all but the conversation still flowed pretty well.

Now... I feel as if I fumbled a few times, and I'm open to criticism on my actions. An incident similar to this has also happened a little under a month ago. I've been reading this sub for awhile now and I haven't been gaming as much as I would want, but I think tonight was an okay start for me. I could be wrong. A problem I think I have is that I became too dependent on this sub that I neglected my duties of actually gaming that I became oblivious to the clear signs. Before I was introduced to the RP I had some success, but things just didn't seem right as I came off as too needy or inexperienced. Now that I'm out and seeing the field for what it truly is I'm trying to learn from my mistakes so I can be even make successful.

So in conclusion, I believe I need to work on my eye contact & executing instead of dropping the ball when I'm so closed to finishing. I built good rapport with her so all can not be bad, but in the future I do not want to have these problems again.
