Everything here was supposed to disappear. Banned subreddits, deleted communities, cancelled blogs — much of what is archived here survives nowhere else.

It stays free — no paywall, no account — for the next man who comes looking, the way it was free for you.

I pay for the servers, the storage and the bandwidth myself. If you want this record still standing in ten years, become one of the people who keeps it online.

Not everything is your fault, but the solutions are your responsibility.

Yeah. I dislike it when people say cookie cutter things like that. Sure, a lot of crap is one's own fault, but far far from everything. The trick is to realize that the shit other people cause for you, is almost always still your own damn problem.

  • It's not my father's fault that he got IRS taking him to court for years frivalously, but it was still his problem, and he had to deal with it.

  • It is not my fault that most women are unfit for an LTR, but if I want an LTR, it is still my damn responsibility to make myself attractive enough to women in general, to be able to hook a woman who is fit for it, if I can find one.

  • It is not my fault that my upbringing and societal pressures made me a pathetic beta for the first 2/3 of my life, but it is still my own problem, and only I can do anything about it.

If you really thinks that everything bad that happens is you're own fault, you're setting yourself up for depression and burnout, because you assume on some level that you can control everything. That's impossible. Shit that you have no control over, what so ever, happens, OFTEN. How you deal with that shit is still your own problem.

If, however, you don't do your due diligence and/or don't do your best, and you fail or something foreseeable goes wrong, then you can start blaming yourself.

Exactly. I'd say more often than not, unless you've got some exceptional connections, guidance, and luck. Most of the world runs on deception. You're on TRP, after all. Chances are you're here because you felt lied to. Was it your fault as an information processing machine that you were consistently given misinformation (or disinformation)?

Fault implies you're to blame. You're not. You're just the one who has to deal with the consequences and take action on behalf of yourself.

I agree. Outside of single cases of car accidents, sickness etc. truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you only need to look into a mirror.

Somewhat off-topic but a proper bit of self-improvement advice.

Good attitude to have (even if it's not literally true). The more problems you take responsibility for the more solutions you can come up with.

Good! Now you can be a true man and suck it up!
