Life can be overbearing, especially when your mind is constantly analysing every small detail about what's going on every second. To top it off, the analysis is usually, if not always, coming from a negative place inside.

Have we every once in our lives experienced the peace known as "presence"? Yes you have, in your dreams!

I'm not sure if this happens to everyone but when I'm in a dream, a good dream, I'm just experiencing the events happening right in front of me, with no judgement or analysing. I could be flying on a monkey over the Pacific and the only thing I know (not think) is that "This is nice". I'm not thinking about how dumb it is or if it makes sense, I'm not worried about falling off the monkey and getting killed by sharks, I'm just WATCHING it play out and enjoying the good feelings. Why can't we be like this while awake? Imagine how we'd live if we were as present as we are in our dreams! We take risks, and do what we feel like doing without any fear. What if we were like this while awake? I believe we can be.

David Deida in his book "Blue Truth" speaks about Deep Dreamless Sleep and how to live in its blissful feelings while awake. I highly recommend you research it and come to your own thoughts on it. It's very interesting.
