Let's start by awakening a memory from within the actual original Matrix movie:

 

 

Cypher wants to be happy... "Ignorance is Bliss".

Notice how he is tempted to be "Alpha" (like an admired actor) and that he wants all the money and nice things that bring comfort. He is anticipating having hot chicks to bang every night.

 

  • Why didn't the default Blue Pill program (before Cypher was first extracted) give him all the things he wants?

 

In the movie they claim it was because in past Matrix simulations if people were given absolute bliss they would get tired of it and wake up. But let's suppose we are talking about the actual Blue Pill mythology in which we live.

 

  • Why can't a beta get the hot chick he wants?

 

The answer to that requires a search for knowledge which brings you to the Truth. What began for you as a "glitch" in the Matrix (inability to attract women) ultimately places you into a position to actually wake up to the whole system.

 

Conclusion

The Newbies often enter the Red Pill with simple PUA ("Pick Up Artist") desires where your goal is in getting the chicks and increasing your moments of happy feelings. That's a good entry point.

Once you start to grasp the "real" Red Pill you realize that the Blue Pill mythology is manipulation itself... it's the "Rich Man's Tricks" that keep you in ignorance and them in power. Your goal should be to destroy the Matrix and free yourself ("Kill the Beta") and to expand that to others because ultimately we do not exist in a vacuum.

 

On a deeper level the Red Pill is the destruction of ignorance, not the love of it.
